Halong Bay cruise:
experience of a lifetime
What brought you here? Why have you chosen to come to Vietnam?
The answer is simple: sailing in Halong Bay. Sleeping on a boat in the middle of it between those big rocks, see them with our own eyes for real.
This is really a timeless place, it inspired the director James Cameron for his Avatar floating mountains; you absolutely need to add it on your travel wish list and also come here soon: tourism could undermine its magic in a few years.

Before getting to the port we see a worrying number of buildings and facilities under construction: what attracts millions of people to visit this place could destroy it and break the spell if things won't be managed properly. Vietnam is rapidly climbing the top destination lists of travellers around the world and this could threaten its uncontaminated nature and authenticity that make it so unique.

Once onboard, we realized the Bay is still a magical place: sea is calm and dark, high rocks coming out towards the sky, silence. Everything around us seems to be painted, unreal, we feel like being in a postcard. We found it hard to sleep at night while watching the rocks under the moonlight from our cabin.

Cruise is perfectly organized: we learn how to fish squids, explore underground caves, paddle on a kayak and attend a Vietnamese cuisine lesson. There is also an excursion you can't miss: climb a rock to reach the top and have a 360° view of the Bay; just a hundreds of steps, you can do it.
We really appreciated Glory Legend Cruise comfortable cabins and good food, the ship was clean and the staff always kind: no Vietnam tour is complete without living a Halong Bay Cruise.
