Krabi, a paradise on Earth: where to stay and what yo do
After 3 hectic days spent in Bangkok we took a flight to Krabi and reached Railay Beach by a van, a tuk tuk and finally a small boat straight from the airport. As soon as our feet touched the sand, trying to keep our suitcases high to save them from water, we thought 'ok, paradise exists': a long white beach in front of us, high rocks overlooking the bay, the crystal clear Andaman sea and the jungle in the background. Truly a dream place.
Where to stay | Sand Sea Resort ☆☆☆☆ (score on booking: 8.4)
192 Moo 5, Saitai, Muang Krabi, 81000 Railay Beach
Do not imagine a 5 star resort, it's more a beautiful and quite comfortable place completely surrounded by nature, with a pool overlooking the sea and a restaurant almost on the beach. Choose the Deluxe accommodations instead of the less comfortable wooden bungalow and arrange the airport transfer with the local agencies to save some money.
What to do
Sunbathing and chilling on Railay Beach | No beach umbrella, sunbed or coconut seller: the beach is completely free and you can only use your beach towel on it. Image yourself on that heavenly beach, the sea in front of you, the jungle behind you and a mango milkshake in your hand. Not a bad plan, huh?
