Siracusa, Ortigia & Noto
Our Siracusa stop over included 3 intensive days: here are our tips on what to do and where to eat.

Getting lost in Ortigia alleys | Only 1 square km for this tongue of land in the middle of the sea, permanently connected to Siracusa city by 2 bridges, its historical centre and the most fascinating side of it. Narrow alleys, baroque cathedrals, magical at night under the moonlight. Don't miss the Cannoli del Re, close to Piazza Duomo in Via Picherali, 6; the ones stuffed with Modica chocolate could be one of the most delicious things you will ever taste in your life.

Chilling at the beach | Lido Arenella beach club is a nice and well organized place to spend a perfect day by the sea, not too far away from the city. Just make sure to get there early in the morning, it is very popular and crowded in summer thanks to the services and facilities provided and the beautiful sea of that coastal area.
Visiting Noto | Only 30 minutes far from Siracusa by car and you will reach the city we have probably loved the most. Baroque style symbol, its architecture and its white majestic cathedrals will hypnotize you, it will be hard to stop looking at this open air museum. Have dinner at Tannur in Via Mauceri, 3 to taste traditional delicious dishes and end the night at Caffè Sicilia in Corso Vittorio Emanuele with a perfectly hand-made cannolo, one of the best on the island.
