4 days in San Vito Lo Capo: what to do and where to eat

Diving in the Caribbean sea | The main beach of San Vito is 3 km long and it's completely free; you can both rent sun umbrella and sunbeds or place your own beach towel on the same area. The white sand seabed makes this sea probably one of the best in Italy, water is crystal clear and the final result is a caribbean sea color.

You can order and get delivered arancini and pane cunzato directly on the beach thanks to the service offered by some close restaurants.

Visit the protected marine reserve called Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro | A wide protected natural area, rich in local flora and fauna and adorable rocky coves overlooking a turquoise sea. We decided to explore the area by boat, booking a daily excursion leaving from San Vito port which allowed us to stop several times and enjoy the reserve main points, like the iconic Scopello tuna fishery

Thanks to its beauty it has been the set of many movies and commercials and you will easily understad why once there.

You can book this kind of excursion at the info points at the port, in the town centre or directly from the beach when the staff will pass over to collect reservations.

A walk in the town centre | Arab-Norman influences are clearly visible in the streets, architecture and monuments of San Vito; you will love walking in the town centre after spending your day on the beach or on a boat, visit the local handicraft shops among colorful ceramics and enjoy summer nights before and after dinner.

Check the Sanctuary-fortress dating back to XV century, enjoy a pistachio gelato, walk by the sea under the moonlight: this is our wonderful italian summer.

Erice | In 50 minutes you can reach this lovely village perched on a promontory with a breathtaking view. Erice is perfect for a late afternoon walk waiting for the sunset, with its alleys where time seems to slow down, ceramic trinacrie hanging on the front doors and the historical pastry shops with the windows full of typical almond pastries that will tempt your eyes for sure.

It's a timeless village, with fascinating views and a fortress perched on the sea overlooking the Trapani salt pans.

Where to eat @ San Vito Lo Capo

Ristorante e Pizzeria Gnà Sara | Via Duca degli Abruzzi, 8

Flavors and colors of Sicily, that's what the restaurant sign says: absolutely true. così recita l’insegna: tutto vero. The best pasta with pesto alla trapanese & Norma sauce of the island, this is the right place to eat delicious food in a nice and pleasant atmosphere.

San Vito a Tavola | Via Savoia, 16

Fresh and genuine ingredients, friendly and professional staff: a summer night, 2 steps away from the sea, the perfect italian dinner.

Pasticceria Capriccio | Via Pier Santi Mattarella, 106

You can't miss this pastry shop, they have the best cannoli and cassate of the town and maybe of all Sicily. Heavenly.
